Trenton Tigers win Fannin County Sports Hall of Fame Tournament

In game one on Thursday, Trenton defeated Sam Rayburn 22-0.  Trenton finished the game with 17 hits and 0 errors.  Trenton hitters finished as follows:  Michael Foreman 2-3, Trevor Lynn 3-3, Ryan McCarley 1-2, Austen Barnes 2-2, Pate Hubbert 2-3, Justin Hinton 1-4, Chris Pollard 2-3, Colton Collinsworth 1-1, TJ Lynn 1-2, Cramer Johnson 1-2, and Brock Murphree 1-1.  Pate Hubbert went the distance and picked up his first win on the season.  Hubbert struck out 10 and only gave up 1 hit.
 
Trenton faced Bonham JV in game 2 and won by the score of 15-8.  Trenton finished the game with 13 hits and 2 errors.  Trenton hitters finished as follows: Michael Foreman 3-4, Trevor Lynn 1-1, Austen Barnes 1-3, Ryan McCarley 1-3, Brock Murphree 1-2, Pate Hubbert 1-2, Justin Hinton 2-3, Chris Pollard 2-3, Colton Collinsworth 1-2.  Trevor Lynn got his first start and picked up the win on the mound for Trenton.  Trevor gave up 4 hits and struck out 4.  Michael Foreman pitched the last inning for Trenton.
 
Trenton faced Dodd City in their third game of the tournament to see who would advance to the championship game.  Trenton won by the score of 11-4.  Trenton finished with 11 hits and 0 errors.  Trenton hitters finished as follows:  Michael Foreman 3-3, Trevor Lynn 2-2, Ryan McCarley 1-3, Brock Murphree 2-2, Pate Hubbert 2-2, Justin Hinton 1-2, and Nathan Henry 1-2.  Nathan Henry went the distance on the mound for Trenton.

Henry gave up 9 hits and struck out 2 in a great effort.
 

In the championship game Trenton faced Alba-Golden.  The Tigers jumped out early in the top of the first inning by scoring 9.  The final score ended at 15-0.  Trenton ended with 10 hits and 1 error.  Trenton hitters finished as follows:  Trevor Lynn 1-4, Austen Barnes 1-2, Pate Hubbert 3-4, Justin Hinton 2-3, Colton Collinsworth 2-3, and TJ Lynn 1-3.  Colton Collinsworth got the start and pitched a great game.  Collinsworth only gave up 1 hit and struck out 4 in 4 innings.  Pate Hubbert came in to finish the game off by striking out 2 in the last inning. 
 
The wins brought Trenton's season record to 7-2.  They will begin district play Tuesday as they face off against the Ector Eagles.
