Biography
"I am a
native Texan and have lived in Texas all my life. I was born in Alpine and
have lived in Snyder, Lubbock, Tyler, College Station, New Braunfels, and
Austin. Teaching is actually my second career. I was in banking for 10
years before I went back to school to receive my degree in Education.
At the bank I was an accounting officer, and it was my job to balance the bank's
general ledger. This experience has allowed me to show my students how
math is used in the real world.
I have been married to my husband, Russell for 23 years. We have three
children, Ross (18), John (16) and Katy (10).
My favorite past time is cooking. I enjoy baking pies and would love to open a pie kitchen when I retire from teaching." And my favorite colors are pink and purple
Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A&M Commerce with a specialization in mathematics.

This is my sixth year to teach, I have taught at Commerce Middle School for 5 years.

Why did you want to be a teacher?
I have always wanted to be a math teacher because I had really great math teachers as I was growing up.
