The Trenton community is heartbroken by the devastation that has happened along the Texas coast due to Hurricane Harvey. Each campus at Trenton ISD has taken action in the last few days in an effort to provide some relief to the families dealing with the effects of the hurricane. Yesterday afternoon we were made aware of a list of schools in Houston, Corpus Christi, Port Aransas and other areas on the coast that need assistance for their students. TISD has decided to answer their call for help and we have been matched with East Early College High School in Houston. We will be working with the principal of this school to determine the immediate needs of their students and then communicating with our school community in an effort to meet these needs. We understand that many in the Trenton community have donated money, water, toiletries, and other items already. Once we know the needs of the school, if you can help in additional ways, it would be appreciated. It is our goal to communicate with our families about these needs and do our best to meet them. Thank you for your ongoing support of TISD and the people along the coast of Texas.
